PMP INFORMATION

PMP certification is the profession’s most globally recognized and respected certification credential.

To be eligible for the PMP certification, you must first meet specific education and experience requirements and agree to adhere to a code of professional conduct. The final step in becoming a PMP is passing a multiple-choice examination designed to objectively assess and measure your project management knowledge.

In addition, those who have been granted the PMP credential must demonstrate an ongoing professional commitment to the field of project management by satisfying PMI’s Continuing Certification Requirements Program.

PMP Re-certification

To retain PMP status, PMP's require 60 PDU's during their three year cycle.  One of several methods to attain Professional Development Unit's (PDU), you can earn Category 3 PDU's for attending certain Chapter programs.  Most of the chapter's monthly meetings will qualify for one PDU, totaling up to nine per year.  You could earn up to 27 PDU's toward your re-certification in a three year period if you attend all Chapter programs.  The Chapter will provide certificates for PDU's earned at these programs twice yearly, in June and again in December.

If you have any questions regarding the Chapter's Professional Development Program, please contact the Vice-president Professional Development .

For further information on PMI's Professional Development Program requirements please refer to the PMP re-certification page.
